The
Problem
An international insurance company (c.$6bn revenue) wanted to improve their data culture. They particularly wanted to engage C-suite executives to show them market best practices and to pave the way to increase the investment in the data function.
Our
Solution
Data Leaders delivered a series of activities, part of a company-wide change programme. One activity was to organize a knowledge exchange, which brought together expert guests to the client’s office to hear and discuss case studies delivered by four leading Chief Data Officers (3 external speakers and 1 from the client). Data Leaders prepared the content which was aligned to the themes identified by the client and chaired the discussion groups. Members of the client’s C-suite were invited to join and collaborate with the guests and speakers. Content from the event was captured in a report with actions and peer recommendations for the client.
The
Outcome
This event was a key component in building the business case for a multi-million dollar investment in the data function. The event brought together executives less familiar with the data function and allowed them to imagine what was possible. The event was heralded a success because it built ties between people internally and externally and importantly, enabled people to ‘speak the same language to get things done’.
