Problem
A global chemicals company (c.$13bn revenue) was going through a de-merger. With the formation of two new executive committees our client needed strategic advice how to effectively position the D&A function for it to be prioritised by the new executive teams.
Our
Solution
Data Leaders delivered a Strategic Transformation Advisory service. This included a full assessment of the work needed, followed by a two-day workshop with Data Leaders’ experts, executive interviews with key stakeholders, and the production of follow-up materials. A final report was produced detailing the positioning and future D&A strategy for the new organisations which was later presented to the Board. Data Leaders followed the workshop with advisory calls to ensure all positioning was correctly presented.
The
Outcome
By having the direct support of two experienced Data Leaders CDAOs, and the intelligence of the Data Leaders’ community, the client was equipped with the resources and confidence to engage the new executive committees on the D&A journey. This approach secured the required buy-in and investment for the transformation.
Data Leaders were chosen for the project due to our experience and community’s collective intelligence. The overall work was delivered at a significantly lower cost and shorter turnaround time than would have been possible with other service providers, such as consulting firms.
